Margaritaville RV resort was nice. Not a traditional camping experience, the section of the campgrounds that we stayed in was an open area with no trees between sites so not a lot of privacy, but our site was on the lake, only down side was that the climb to and from the lake was steep in places and could be difficult for some to maneuver. There is however a camping section that is more wooded with a few sites on the lake but those sites didn’t look feasible from the website photos. We were there the first week in March and there wasn’t a lot open. The weather was too warm so the winter activities(snow tubing hill and ice skating) were no longer operating and the summer activities (water park, beach, mini golf, outdoor movies) weren’t open yet. We rented a golf cart to get around the entire island for $60 a day (we don’t trail a car with us). Enjoyed touring the property, we had lunch at Bull Frog’s at the Legacy Lodge one day and dinner one night at The Land Shark. The lake is beautiful, very clear. If you like to golf there is a gorgeous course that borders the lake. There was a beverage cart that came around the campgrounds in the evening which was a bit pricey but a nice touch. We also saw deer romping around on the golf course and a fox running up the trail near our site.

I grew up across the lake at Shoals Creek in a tent. It was bitter sweet to take my family in our RV for the first time celebrating Father's Day and my birthday. Check-in seemed pretty crazy when everyone showed up at 2 pm to check in. Let me start by saying that having a golf cart is a must, but they were out, so we did have the opritunity to rent from another golf cart company. There is a shuttle, but they do not have air-condition. I wish there was a pool for the camping community. I am happy we learned the area when we first got there. I love that we received 4 Fins Up passes per day. The bathrooms were super clean. It was nice having Game Changers to get out of the heat. There was a golf cart that came around from 4pm-10pm selling adult beverages. Eddie & Wanda were my favorite golf cart bartenders. Overall, we would love to come back.

We camped in the RV resort and the sites are amazing. Well maintained and nice large sites on the water. We brought our boat which we brought up behind our site such a lovely area. Many activities and wonderful places to Bike and swim they have a waterpark attached to the resort. Very wooded area, making it a real delight for campers. We will be back for sure.

This is by far our favorite place to go camping! We love being able to ride around on the golf cart and check out the spots on the lake that are too far to walk from the campsite. We are now pass holders for Lake Lanier and can't wait for the warmer weather to get here so we can get in the water and go to the Landing!

Large campground and campground resort! The drive in was very beautiful. You see plenty of water and the golf course. The campground itself is located further back. The sites on Parrot Rd were very nice, level, concrete. There’s a very clean bathhouse with one large shower. Some outside games near by. A drink cart comes by daily. There’s a huge game arcade building. Super nice! Fireworks when we came memorial weekend. The amazing water park of course. Totally worth it! Must stay!

Just got home from camping in our RV at this location and it is STUNNING! Just gorgeous! Definitely coming back and if I could give Frank (working here since 1989!) at the Landshark/Fins Up restaurant 20 stars I would! He made our entire stay so memorable! He catered a private BBQ for my hubby’s Birthday and it was some of the best BBQ we’ve had in a long time! He truly cares about the guest experience! John was also so kind and helpful too! And Tiffany at reservations too. This location is about NATURE! So although a resort, the amenities aren’t what other Margaritaville’s offer but we didn’t miss anything! They have bars, restaurants, Xmas events, lots of things to do. And there is a beautiful lodge on property to explore with a fitness center and more, if needed. If views, peace and nature are your thing, book it! Thank you, Frank for going above and beyond! We hope you enjoy your money tree, you deserve the world! Keep up the excellent work! They are lucky to have you!

This is a review of the RV park only. This is a very large, very nice park. We opted for a pull-thru without waterfront or lakeview. We did drive around and those are really nice but obviously more expensive and some were too short for our rig. The picnic table and the fire ring were really nice and there's a charcoal grill available as well. Site was level, easy to pull into and large enough for our F350, Harley & 45' 5th wheel. There is additional parking as well.

We had a fantastic time at this resort. We used this as our home to visit all that Atlanta had to offer. While in the resort; we enjoyed the waterpark, arcade, Bingo night. and just exploring the resort on our rented golf cart. We extended our stay for a couple of extra nights and the office was very accommodating. I was not sure what to expect prior to our stay as the young men who worked the office were not accommodating or even answering the phone. When we arrived I was given my campsite papers but no car pass or my rented golf cart, as I was told that the office was now closed and would have to come back in the morning to get these items. This was unacceptable as I paid for these items and we were not able to leave the park as we wouldn't have been able to get back in. Luckily, when we went to the office the next morning, Wanda was working and quickly apologized and made everything right. The 5 star review is because of her kindness and accommodating way. She is a blessing to this campground and campers
